Jonathan has focused his career on partnering with researchers to commercialize early stage technologies. Prior to joining Widetroinx in 2007, he started two energy companies based on Cornell technology and was the founding Director for Cornell's Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise. Previously, Jon led a real estate development group at Vail Resorts Inc. and was a management consultant for Abt Associates Inc. Jonathan has an MBA and BS from Cornell University and a MS in environmental management from the University of Michigan.

Semiconductor materials growth & device design

Widetronix was founded by Mike and several colleagues to commercialize innovative semiconductor technologies evolving from research at his lab at Cornell University. As a professor and director of Cornell's Wide Bandgap Laboratory, he investigates novel semiconductor materials growth and device applications in silicon carbide, gallium nitride, and graphene. Mike received BS, MS, and a PhD from Cornell University and has over 100 peer reviewed publications.

Semiconductor materials & wafer production

Chris has over a decade of semiconductor materials and device fabrication expertise most recently with Cornell's Wide Bandgap Laboratory. His expertise includes materials process and growth technology for semiconductors, specializing in silicon carbide. He began his career as a professional soccer player from 1990 to 1996. Chris has a PhD from Cornell University in electricial engineering and a BS/MS in electrical engineering from Howard University.

Semiconductor device design & fabrication

Chandra comes to Widetronix with over five years research and design expertise with silicon and silicon carbide based semiconductor devices. Most recently he was a research engineer with Cornell's Wide Bandgap Laboratory where he pioneered Widetronix's betavoltaic battery technology along with work in graphene and gallium nitride materials growth. Chandra holds a BS in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a PhD in electrical engineering from Cornell University.

Ernie Davis MS, COO


Licensing & patent strategy, product development

Ernest Davis brings several years of new product development, manufacturing operations, and intellectual asset management experience to Widetronix. His engineering background includes new product development and operational roles with IBM. More recently, Ernie worked in Cornell University's Center for Technology, Enterprise and Commercialization, where he managed a portfolio of technology-based intellectual property covering the physical sciences and negotiated licensing deals with a broad range of companies, including startups. He holds an MS in management and BS in Mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University.
